Returning to Tamriel, help me decide

So after a long hiatus the call of Tamriel has beckoned me back to ESO.

I’m not an ultra competitive player, and I’m mostly excited about exploring the game somewhat casually (though I do like pvp and dungeons from time to time).

My main character before I left was a Sword & Shield Breton Templar, he was fun but I grew somewhat bored of him.

Now I have several characters in mind, I’d like to experience a story that I’ve not yet experienced (at least initially) but I don’t mind the idea of doing AD again for the right class.

I’m curious to find a good Alliance/Race/Class combo that will be fun and viable.

So the ideas I have are:

Ebonheart Pact

Nord Lord (Stamina 2H Dragon Knight) – Basically a guy wearing a mix of medium and heavy armor, wielding big blades. Thematically not the most original, but I love Vikings

Dunmer Corsair (Dual Wielding Melee Night Blade) – Inspired by the Dark Elves of Warhammer, this just reminds me of the fond times I had in morrowind, this would likely be a more magika based class build out

Nord Hunter (Ranged Bow and 2H stamina nightblade) – I never see Nord Rangers in ES Games, I thought this could be an opportunity to make a character that lives off the land

Aldmeri Dominion

Altmer Swordmaster (2h Heavy/Light armor mix with magical abilities) – This idea was inspired by the Swordmasters of Hoeth from Warhammer as well. Basically I could run this as a Templar OR a Sorc thematically, I’m kind of open to the gameplay of this guy, but I like the theming

Altmer Arcane Archer (Ranged Bow-Sorc or Nightblade) – I know you see Wood Elves as the rangers in AD, but I thought this would be a cool idea to do a more magical based High Elf ranger if possible

Daggerfall Covenant

Orc Shaman (2h, Medium/Light Armor, mix of magic and melee) I know this kind of throws most of the Orcs innate abilities out the window (no heavy armor etc) but I thought it would be a cool excuse to make an orc templar or sorc, focusing on healing or elemental magic, and some good melee. Maybe this is a terrible idea but I like the idea of it, especially with Orsinium having just launched.

Anyways, there it is. I know those are quite a few ideas, I’m mostly looking for something unique, viable, and a cool story (I know we play through all of them) – any guidance from you veterans would be appreciated!
