I want to run a magicka NB, but I am a bit put off by how squishy it is. I’m trying to find ways to boost my tankiness to couple with its the mobility and escapes.
Here are some things that I’ve considered:
Heavy armor is a no-brainer for boosting defense, and 5H/2L doesn’t seem to lose a huge amount of power or sustain, if you use the Atronach stone and are a Breton/Altmer. Any remaining lost sustain could probably be made up for with siphoning attacks.
Mirage over double take. The conventional wisdom is to use double take for the major evasion, but I wanted to ask the community if the buff would be useful, and if it stacks with the major buff from the shadow passive.
Shields: nightblade has no shields that I know of, but use of healing ward is almost mandatory for most builds. Are magicka builds prevalent enough for harness magicka to be useful?
Vampire provides a good boost through the undeath passive, and more sustain. The major threat to vampires were always magicka DKs, but they are extremely weak currently.
Obviously, not all of these might be needed, but I wanted to ask more experienced players what they thought.
