I found myself always having to dig around the web to find all the information I needed to determine the various buffs/debuffs in the game and the sources of them to help me maximize DPS in group dungeons/trials. Therefore the following guide is an attempt to consolidate this information for everyone:
LEGEND:
Light Blue = Skills to which everyone has access
Pink = Potion
Dark Blue = Sorcerer Abilities
Dark Red = Nightblade Abilities
Orange = Dragonknight Abilities
Purple = Templar Abilities
BUFFS FOR MAXIMUM DPS:
1) Major Beserk: Increase All Damage by 25%
– Summon Atronach (Sorcerer): Effect Lasts 8 Seconds
2) Minor Beserk: Increase All Damage by 8%
– Combat Prayer (Restoration Staff): Effect Lasts 8 Seconds
3) Major Brutality: Increase Weapon Damage by 20%
– Surge (Sorcerer): Effect Lasts 20 Seconds, Potion
4) Minor Brutality: Increase Weapon Damage by 5%
– Mountain Blessing (DragonKnight – Passive): Activate Earthen Heart Ability (Granted to Nearby Allies, Lasts 20% at Level 2)
5) Major Force: Increase Critical Damage by 40%
– Aggressive Warhorn (Alliance – Assault): Effect Lasts 8 Seconds
5) Minor Force: Increase Critical Damage by 12%
– Trap Beast (Fighter’s Guild)
6) Major Savagery: Increase Weapon Critical Chance by 10%
– Expert Hunter (Fighter’s Guild): Slot Ability to Gain Effect, Potion
7) Minor Savagery: Increase Weapon Critical Chance by 3%
– Hemorrhage (Nightblade – Passive): Have Assassination Ability Slotted (Granted to Nearby Allies, Lasts 20 Seconds at Level 2)
8) Major Prophecy: Increase Spell Critical Chance by 10%
– Magelight (Mage’s Guild), Potion
9) Minor Prophecy: Increase Spell Critical Chance by 3%
– Exploitation (Sorcerer – Passive): Use a Dark Magic Ability (Granted to Nearby Allies, Last 20 Seconds at Level 2)
10) Major Sorcery: Increase Spell Power by 20%
– Power Surge (Sorcerer): Effect Lasts 20 Seconds, Entropy (Mage’s Guild), Potion
11) Minor Sorcery: Increase Spell Power by 5%
– Illuminate (Templar – Passive): Use a Dawn’s Wrath Ability (Lasts 20 Seconds at Level 2)
DEBUFFS FOR MAXIMUM DPS:
1) Minor Mangle: Decrease Maximum Health of Target by 10%
– Pulsar (Destruction Staff): Only works at Tier 1 and 2 Mobs (Not Elite Bosses)
2) Major Breach: Decrease Target Spell Resistance
– Mark Target (Nightblade), Weakness to Elements (Destruction Staff)
3) Major Fracture: Decrease Target Armor
– Mark Target (Nightblade), Surprise Attack (Nightblade), Burning Breath (Dragonknight), Puncture (One Hand and Shield)
4) Minor Fracture: Decrease Target Armor
– Focused Aim (Bow), Power of Light (Templar)
OTHER USEFUL BUFFS FOR TRIALS/GROUP DUNGEONS:
1) Major Protection: Decrease Damage Taken by 30%
– Consuming Darkness (Nightblade)
2) Minor Protection: Decrease Damage Taken by 8%
– Suppression Field (Sorcerer), Circle of Protection (Fighter’s Guild)
