I’ve seen a lot of people questioning how text chat would work in ESO on the consoles, considering some people may not have keyboards.
Aside from this, I’m wondering how voice chat would work? How I hope it works is how the voice chat works in “Defiance,” being you can wear a headset, and whenever you get within a certain range of one person to many people, you can hear them all chatting at once, like you would see text bubbles appear over peoples’ heads when they type something in /say in other games.
I think this way could work, at least for voice chat, seeing that typing over a console would be slightly difficult.
On the same topic, though, I saw a video where one of the developers mentioned that in the midst of combat, no one’s going to want to be typing while under fire from enemies. So, he mentioned that there could be some sort of quick-chat ability, saying things like, “Help!” or “Over there!” in automatic shortcuts.
Anyway, I’m going to stop rambling. How do you guys think it’ll work? How do you hope it’ll work?
