Hi there way-smarter-than-me folks, just seeking some advice on the build for one of my particular characters that I really enjoy playing, but that I’m sure could be tweaked for some improvements. Context: I am not max level or in a huge guild competing for leaderboards/etc, I have several mid-vet level characters, I am quite a casual player, but I’ve been playing multiplayer online RPGS since they were just text (~20 years) lol, and I spend most of my time playing solo for the challenge, though I do enjoy groups and PVP/etc.
Some time ago I read a thread on the main forums about the Orgnum’s scales set, and a health regen centric 2-h mace swinging orc DK theme for soloing group content as you level. I thought this sounded awesome, tried it, and it worked/works great and is super fun to play, you just don’t die if you run around like you’re in a battle scene from an avengers movie, great fun. I was able to solo all group dungeons that didn’t have an impossible mechanic as I was leveling pre-vet (this was some seriously fun sh*t), and any other content (except PVP) is/was laughably easy. Not much has changed, other than I’d like to figure out a way to do a little more damage than I currently am if possible.
I use a 2-hmace traited for penetration on both bars, health regen enchants on stock jewelery rings (stam) and necklace (health), the orgnums set all heavy, and part of whatever other heavy set will give me another notch of health regeneration, typically vampires kiss or the like. I’ve been seeking engine guardian shoulders (1 piece health regen bonus) with my undaunted keys, but no such luck yet. My armor is enchanted for health, and all stats are in health, with the warrior mundus, and I have about 90 champion points distributed across the bonuses to physical damage/combat. I think I’m about as topped out as I can get without current access to some jewelery sets to increase weapon damage or stamina/etc.
For skills I use what may seem like a typical/basic setup, 1 bar for boss fights/single target, and one boss for multi-target. For boss fights my bar consists of molten armaments for heavy attacks (damage+stam regen), wrecking blow, unstable flame, igneous shield, green dragon blood, and soul assault. My multi-target bar has burning talons (for CC, discovered this was hugely important whilst solo in group content), brawler (really the only reason I can survive, lol), burning breath, spiked armor, green dragonblood again, and take flight.
I’m wondering by what methods could I keep the same (or very, very close to it) level of survivability and durability (health regen centric, utilizing all passives that affect it and purple drinks/food) whilst eeking out a bit more damage? I’m not sure if another skill setup or gear tweak would serve me in the capacity for which this build is meant. I’ve thought about swapping his stats from health to stamina when I want more raw damage, in content where I need far less health, or perhaps giving him warlock (or similar) jewelery for some more magicka and using some more magicka skills, but I dunno.
Any particular gear I should be drooling for with this setup and advice about how to go about getting it if it’s not readily available? Any skill, class/guild/otherwise, that I’m overlooking that might aid this setup’s damage ability? Am I sh*t out of luck here and because of the setup/desired theme doomed to a life of sub-par damage no matter what I do?
