Preface
First and Foremost, this is a TRIALS Build, above all else, though it can easily run Dungeons with little change
This build is based on the Need and Use of Maelstrom weapons, and it assumes you either have access to them, or intend to acquire them. I will post other setups for use WITHOUT maelstrom weapons in the future, however I don’t know when I will be able to do this.
Race
For Race, your best bet is always to run Redguard, Khajiit would be Second, and Imperial/Wood Elf third, however any other race that gives max stam isn’t a detriment.
Stats
For Some reason my tooltip isn’t updating with Major Brutality, I will update when I can
Gear
5 Twice Born Star / 3 Agility / 2 Maelstrom Daggers (Precise/Sharpened) / Maelstrom Bow
If you haven’t completed vMA/Gotten the Weapons, Lekis Focus Daggers (Precise)
If you are race other than a Redguard and have sustain Issues, Medium Divines Kena /Bloodspawn
If You do not have Sustain Issues, 2 Medium Divines Valkyn Skoria. (I’ve been looking into testing Mephala)
If you do not have a Maelstrom Bow, a Masters Bow is a good Second Option, or just any bow with Weapon Damage enchant
Food
v15 Blue Health Stamina (Max Stat) You can also run Blue Orc Food (Max Health/Stam Recovery) for better sustain.
Skills
Repentance/Deadly Cloak – Minor Endurance Buff, grants extra Stamina Recovery for having it Slotted, If you have good sustain without you can use Deadly Cloak as an extra DoT.
Rapid Strikes – Does a good amount of Damage + Procs Cruel Flurry if you’re using vMA Daggers.
Rending Slashes – Strong DoT, especially when buffed by Cruel Flurry (Slot Steel Tornado for AoE exclusive fights).
Biting Jabs – Main Damage Ability, also not a bad AoE Ability. Procs Burning Light and all other applicable Templar passives. Grants Major Savagery.
Evil Hunter – Grants Major Savagery and 3% Weapon Damage. (Don’t activate this)
Flawless Dawnbreaker – On par with Meteor, deals physical damage, and costs half as much.
Rearming Trap – Massive single target DoT and CC, procs Minor Force.
Poison Injection – Another huge single target DoT, deals increased damage below 50% HP.
Power of the Light – Single Target burst damage after a duration, scales off of your max Stamina. Also gives Minor Breach and Minor Fracture.
Caltrops/Vigor/Blazing Spear – HUGE AoE with a good bit of damage, can slow trash. If someone else is using Caltrops, slot either Vigor or Spear. Blazing Spear doesn’t do much damage, however it does proc Burning Light, which does do a lot of damage.
Endless Hail – Really Strong AoE, made stronger by a Maelstrom Bow.
Solar Prison – Typically don’t use this much, only really if your group needs it. A very strong ulti nonetheless, the Gravity Crush is one of the best in-game.
Potions
Essence of Speed is fantastic, it is our main source of Major Brutality/Major Endurance, and they give Major Expedition.
If this is too rich for your blood, you can drop the Namira’s Rot and just have Major Brutality/Major endurance. You can also go so far as to use cp100 Potions but you will forfeit some DPS.
Champion Points
Note – This is likely not the most optimal setup, if I am to find a better one I will update my post.
Rotation
To start a fight, you want to start with a fully charged heavy bow attack, then drop a rearming trap, Poison injection, throw out caltrops every second rotation, hit a potion, Endless Hail, Power of the Light, Swap to your front bar, Deadly Cloak if you are using it, Rapid Strikes, Rending Slashes, then two Biting Jabs, Rapid Strikes and swap back to your back bar and start the rotation over again.
Correct Timing should have you setting down Trap as Poison Injection is ending.
If you have an ultimate, forego one of the Biting Jabs and add in an extra Rapid Strikes before Dawnbreaker as it WILL buff your ult.
Ideally you would have a Rearming trap down where the boss will be tanked at for the beginning of a fight. However this isn’t always possible, and isn’t a big deal if you can’t.
Rearming Trap remains on the back bar, as opposed to the front, because Cruel Flurry will buff the DoT, however it will not be consumed and will still be able to buff Poison Injection. You do need to activate these two quick, otherwise the buff will run out before you can use it.
Group Play
As I mentioned above, this build is meant for trials, and presumes that your group is already running the necessary buffs such as Spell Power Cure, Aggressive horn and whatever else there may be.
Vampirism
Being a Vampire is fantastic for sustain, a free 10% Stam Recovery is nothing to laugh at, and can make your job much easier.

Other Setups
I have a Couple other setups in mind that will work without Maelstrom weapons or monster sets, but that will have to come at a later date.

Thanks for checking out my build, I haven’t specifically made a build before and I hope you thought it was interesting. Also, I by no means consider myself the best DPS ever, but I do consider myself a good Stamplar, I know the class more than any and have worked long and hard attempting to come up with what I feel to be the best I can do, and fully intend on improving my skills, and build further.
