INTRO:

This build is meant to play solo or in a small group (not more than 4). *This build is not meant for healing*

PROs: really hight damage + decent tankiness

CONs: Not a healer + Hard to solo as templar. because jabs are not a reliable source of damage output

SETS

WHY HEAVY ARMOR? Pretty simple. To survive all the hard hitting stam users. resource gained from heavy is really impactful as well.

WHY SPINNER+SOULSHINE? 2 highest damaging sets for templar combined to maximised the dips output. spinner to increase lack of penetration from heavy armor and soulshine to buff up jabs beams damage. Notable sets for group play – lich on back bar/ battle cage for extra skill slot/kagneracs hope for balance between damage and sustain/support

WHY SKORIA OVER GROTHAR? 2 reasons – CD is faster 5 secs against 10 secs. skoria is locked on target and grothar is locked on user. All in all. grothar for group play, skoria for solo.

CP

Very straight forward and generic. Just make sure u have 40 points or so into thaumaturge because DOT or channeling skills hits harder with that as well. some into block cost reduction is good as well

put on 1 destro staff on back bar (defending trait) and slot destro ulti for more aoe damage

FULL COMBAT TUTORIAL:

Something i didnt mention a lot in the build vid is during all times ritual has to be up to get that 240 per sec mag regeneration. yea of cos major sorcery is a must have at all times too.

Important combat info:

During a 1vX fight usually u will start of being a bit defensive because ppl will pound u with ambush viper curse and stuffs. try to get a bit of LOS if u are too outnumbered. keep ALL buffs up then apply dots on ur opponent to get minor sorcery and crit bonus. when they are on melee range start off with a spear on group to CC them 2x spears if there are too many. then start jabbing to negate some damage from other Xv1ers. If the situation is really bad or some NBs are hitting too hard on u. Just use LOS or juke around to get ur bats or destro ulti up. AGAIN. MAKE SURE BUFFS ARE UP! then drop the ultis with spears as cc and jabs to finish them off.

LAST WORDS:

Mag Templar is one of the harder classes to go solo. having a mate with u is the best way to play. That being said with a smart use of LOS or indoors advantage templars do have a really good chance in 1vX-ing(even against decent players) because of the setup u have u get to surprise many players with ur outcoming damage. A lot of the times it comes down to being aggressive at the right time and being defensive at the needed moments.
