Carry me to victory

Sorry ahead of time,

A friend and I have been playing ESO for a little more than a month now, and having taken advantage of the holiday experience boost have leveled a few characters to 50 and past 160 champion, and now find ourselves considering end game content; I mostly play tanks in games like this, and my last particular run through hardly bucked that trend – currently I’m sitting on freshly finished DK and eyeballing the alliance skill line and wrestling with the realization that the build I’ve used for dungeon running, casually, and day-to-day play is going to have a very difficult time in cyrodill if he plans to do more than carry a big wrench and toolkit and play the role of a royal pact engineer.

Ideally, I’d like a pvp experience a bit more engrossing – so I had hoped someone could offer some advice as to what I could turn a sword and board imperial dragonknight into, that would result in at least a somewhat pleasant experience; I’m willing to raise new skills, run dungeons for new gear, and otherwise invest time into this temporary build – but with a few restrictions:  I’d rather not waste money on tri-stat glyphs for a temporary character (ideally I’d rather just use purples in general for dabbling), while I’ll happily rerun dungeons for gear (including any dlc save the shadowfen pack) and I’d work to find crafted gear – a build that relies on a crafted set with too many traits, a cyrodill reward set, or a trial set are all beyond my means this moment.  While endgame builds seem to be abundant, I’ve had more difficulty finding the appropriate build for reaching endgame, once the initial leveling has concluded, and thats really what I need some help with.

If it particularly matters, my current set up is sword and board on both bars, although I’ve dabbled with the two-handed skill before giving it up because I’m not overly brilliant at optimization and I found it difficult to stuff all the “tanky” stuff I wanted on one bar effectively; That particular failing brings me to my last request – I’m by far the best at competitive clicking ;p Something ‘simple’ or at least not overly complex, would be appreciated!
