Seems that Magicka NBs are a very niche population, but would like to leverage you all as the experts to see if I am doing something incredibly wrong and if I have an opportunity to increase my DPS.
I have used a mix of Deltia’s and Amstelx’s guides to build what I am using currently, but i can usually only get around 8k-10k single target if my rotation is sound. Maybe Stamina is just more superior at the moment, because it seems those builds are doing on average much more DPS, both single target and AOE.
Anywho, here is my info. I run 4 Magnus (Epic), 2 Worm’s Rainment(Epic), 1 Torugs(Epic) for armor; all magicka enhants. Accessories are Reduction Amulet, 2 Cyrodiils Light Rings (VR6 as I cannot yet afford VR12/14); and for weapons main hand destro Torug’s Pact, off hand DW Torug’s Pact.
Stat allocation is 20 Health 42 Magicka and stats with food are as follows:
Magicka: 28819
Health: 21029
Spell damage: Staff 1867, DW 2089
Crit: 46%
I use the Atronach Mundus and typical CP allocation for Thaumaturge, elfborn etc.
Bars are:
Staff -> Funnel Health, Merciless Resolve, Crippling Grasp, Structured Entropy, Inner Light, Ice Comet
DW -> Impale, Sap Essence, Twisting path, Syphoning Strikes, Inner Light, Veil or Soul Harvest
Rotation is Merciless, Structured, HA, Crippling, Funnel, MA, Funnel, MA refreshing DOTs and using the Assassin’s will when it pops.
for AOE its pretty much Structured, then twisting and sap essence.
I can’t seem to find anything glaringly wrong with what I’m doing and maybe the new patch will help, but any advice would be appreciated.
