Hi guys I wanted to share with you my latest Templar pvp build I’ve done a lot of testing with lots of different builds this patch and it’s been tricky, with changes to healing and shields it’s made surviving with Templar difficult due to no escapes.
I’m using 5 heavy 2 light for this build i found this is the way to go due to heal and shield nerfs and this allows me to stay alive much longer, I’ve tried 5 light 2 heavy also but I prefer this setup.
First off im using
– 5 kagranacs hope: I think this is probably the best 5 peice for magicka Templar due to the high spell damage and the added health is good to scale with heals and blazing shield
– 2 peice engine guardian: this is just a really nice set works well with repentance to consume the guardian when it dies
– 3 peice willpower is pretty no brainier in this patch nothing comes close to what it offers I would prioritise getting this first
– 2 tourugs pact sword and shield on main bar
My backbar is still undecided this will be my buff bar this is between a resto staff and duel wield
Resto staff- offers weaving between buffs which gives me magicka back and charges my ult and allows me to run tri stat food to give bigger stats that buffs my front bar blazing shield and jabs
Duel wield on the other hand gives me double spell power which gives bigger heals then on top of that I can put tourugs pact as another 2 piece which gives even more spell damage although I will 100% have to run regen drinks so will have to test this any feedback here would be great.
Front bar is sword and board
toppling charge – you want a gap closer to stay on them can also use the one from s/s but toppling goes through dodge roll
puncturing sweeps- this is your main dps remember the more magicka and spell damage you have the more you heal
Blazing shield- with heavy armor you get some nice added health keeping this up with jabs spam gives you a shield while healing and constantly dpsing
Repentance- gives some good regen this with engine guardian is great and with resto on back bar I its all the regen you need even in heavy armor
Radiant oppression- still an amazing execute this may more to my back bar for a bigger execute if I go duel wield
dawnbreaker of smiting- cheap and massive damage this with a nice reflect will absolute ruin a sorc
secondary bar.
channel focus – even more regen and makes you such a tank, you dont even need to stay in it for the effect, also being a Breton with heavy armor makes sorcs tickle you
structured entropy- just for some extra spell damage and health remember your heals scale off of percentage health missing so it’s nice to have on your back bar for more burst heals
Total dark/or other morph – both are good this can really throw a sorc off there game
breath of life – always nice to have a oh s*** heal
proxy detonation – you’ll always be in their face so this is a skill with huge dps and for s bruiser play style it fits perfectly,
shooting star- I prefer this morph it gives back ultimate and it keeps it doing fire damage and there are lots of vampires in pvp
My race is a Breton I would recommend either Breton or imperial for this build as top picks although high elf and dark elf are pretty good too
will tidy this up and add some photos ect when I get to my pc currently writing this out on my phone please leave a comment if anything can be improved I have tested this and it’s very strong in the middle of testing with resto and duel wield to see what I like better also any questions feel free to post
