Maelstrom Fighter (Magicka DK)

This is a brand new idea, forgive me for not having yet figured out how to link everything from build calculator or anything.

Race: Dunmer (I like to optimize the fire damage that the Dragonknight can throw around, that being said, Imperial would work here and so would Breton).

Attributes: 65 in Magicka. We can enchant some of our armor with health enchants if we’re really worried about it, but with food we should be able to push close enough to the 20k mark that it’s not really an issue.

Mundus: right now I’m using the Apprentice but I’m toying with the Atronach too.

Gear:

2 Piece Blood Spawn 1 Medium and 1 Light

5 Piece Julianos: 4 Light 1 Heavy (chest)

3 Piece Willpower: Spell Damage Enchants. Right now I’m considering losing one of these for a reduced cool down on Potions.

2 Piece Seducers: 1 Weapon (nirn) 1 Shield (divines). Normally this isn’t the way to go, but I want to see if having that extra armor and trait would make any difference in survival since so much of our damage is coming straight from magicka attacks like Molten Whip and dots like Ember and Breath. Seducers gives us a bump in recovery and if we put it on both bars we have it consistently.

Bar 1: Hardened/Volatile Armor, Extended Chains, Igneous Shields, Coagulating Blood, Inner Light Shooting Star
Bar 2: Burning Breath, Burning Embers, Molten Whip, Volcanic Rune, Inner Light. Corrosive Armor

I’m not going to put any points into the active weapon skills, but I plan to put a few points into the passives to maximize what they’re doing. I will probably put a few points into the heavy armor passives just to try it out.

I’m torn on using Volcanic Rune but there are times when it’s interrupt is very useful and it provides me with a second mage skill on Bar 2.
I’m strongly considering using either Draw Essence or Deep Breath (very under used skill IMO) over Coagulating since it can do damage afterwards.

Bloodspawn is one of my favorite pieces from the Undaunted lines, it just works so well with a DK’s natural reliance on Ultimate and I wanted to see if that would increase chances of survival.

Currently I’m at just above 300cp and I have them

100 in Ele Expert
100 in Magician
25 in Light Armor Master
45 In Bastion
30 in Ele Defender

Anyways, this is just a test idea that I’m theory crafting as I go and I’ll work it out overtime. Comments and criticisms are welcome.
