Fairly new player to ESO. Playing a Magicka Dunmer Dragonknight and currently VR2. Use double destruction staves (Torug’s Pact) with fire enchants and precise (I think) on both. Running a four-piece Torug’s Pact set (staves, helm, epaulets) and five-piece Seducer. All weapons are armor are at least green and level 50. Am working on making everything VR2. Head is heavy armor, chest is medium, rest is light. Maxed out passives in light armor but haven’t touched medium or heavy yet.

I think most of my problem is not completely understanding what is an AoE situation and how to properly apply skills to those situations. If I put FoO on and switch to front bar, elemental blockade, embers, whip, I don’t have much trouble against single targets or small groups. If I stick exclusively to the back bar in what I consider to be AoE situations (bunch of enemies; three or more) I’m doomed. Magicka is exhausted quickly and my staff attacks don’t do enough to get me through. Finding that against “warrior-type” enemies (non-casters or ranged enemies) I fare very well but against the rest…no bueno. Also not very sure how to effectively animation (block) cancel and weave. So, if you’ve stuck with me so far, these are my questions:
-What is an example of an AoE situation?
-How can I get my back bar to pack more punch? Ardent Flame is at 50 and have all those skills but draconic power and earthen heart are at about 40 and I don’t have all the skills yet. Also don’t have skills obtained through PvP
-How do I effectively weave and block cancel?
