The Black Panther, REDUX – PvP 1v1 Stamina Nightblade
Here’s this one’s build for Aztlan, a Khajiiti Nightblade who aims to bring down unsuspecting prey fast in Cyrodiil. The build is very simple, but requires good situational awareness and practice to play. Your feedback is much appreciated!
OBJECTIVE
To maximize burst damage from stealth against single targets in PvP.
In action, this build is deadly against unsuspecting single targets, even heavy armor wearers. It takes advantage of high physical penetration, weapon damage, stealth damage, and poisons to bring down targets fast. If the prey somehow recovers from the initial pounce, you are tough enough to fight claw-to-claw for a short time. If that fails, you would be wise to melt into the darkness and wait for another opportunity.

RACE
This one chose to be a khajiit because he likes sneaky cats, but as it turns out, the extra stealth damage, stealth detection radius, and weapon critical bonus are perfect for this build. Bosmer would also be an excellent choice.
MUNDUS STONE
The Warrior – Increased weapon damage.
ATTRIBUTE POINTS
Magicka – 0
Health – 0
Stamina – 64
ATTRIBUTES (with Blue health/stamina food)
Maximum Magicka – 9482
Maximum Health – 19449
Maximum Stamina – 34632
GEAR
Armor
Clever Alchemist (4 medium / impenetrable trait) – Five pieces provide increased health, health, weapon damage and spell damage, and when you drink a potion, 661 weapon and spell damage for 15 seconds.
Spriggan’s Thorns (3 medium / impenetrable trait) – Five pieces provide increased stamina, stamina, weapon damage, and 4000 physical penetration.
You could use the Shadow and the divines trait for higher critical damage, but then you would not be able to take much melee damage. This one uses the Shadow and divines for PvE only.
No ugly monster set and no cheesy proc sets. Rejoice!
Weapons
1st bar (dual wield) – Spriggan’s Thorns daggers, sharpened. One has a Crusher Enchantment, the other has a Disease Enchantment. Dual daggers increase weapon critical by +5% (Twin Blade and Blunt passive).
2nd bar (bow) – Clever Alchemist, sharpened, with Decrease Health Enchantment. Most of the time, this one uses Resolve-Draining Poison. This poison inflicts Minor Fracture to your target and grants you Minor Resolve, reducing their Physical Resistance by 1320 and increasing your Physical Resistance by 1320 for 3.5 seconds. It also inflicts Minor Vulnerability and grants you Minor Protection, increasing damage your prey takes by 8% and reducing damage to you by 8% by 2.5 seconds. The poison only procs 20% of the time, but when it does, your initial burst will be that much stronger.
Jewellery
The Agility set for increased stamina and weapon damage, with weapon damage enchantments on all three pieces. The Robust version used to be very expensive but is now much cheaper.

Situational Awareness
With this build, you must give yourself the best chance for success by considering the environment and choosing the right moment to strike. Also, it is wise to give yourself a reasonable chance of survival after you take down your prey. For example, suppose you decide lay in wait in the woods near a castle that is currently under attack. Place yourself between the castle and the direction from which enemy forces are most likely to approach. Stay in stealth on a rock or other slightly elevated spot, and give yourself a good line of sight. When an enemy rider approaches, prepare to launch your ranged attack, but do not attack if you see more riders approaching behind him. Also, it is better to attack as the rider is approaching you, not after he has gone by, because that could complicate your ability to Ambush in for the kill. There are many good hunting spots throughout Cyrodiil, but one of this one’s favorites is the inner courtyard of a keep that your alliance is trying to capture. This one will sit between an inner doorway and the outer wall, cutting off enemy reinforcements as they trickle in one by one. Avoid getting mixed up in messy open field battles, because you have very little sustain, will lose burst damage, and will be vulnerable to being CC’d and getting overwhelmed.
Preparing for combat
In stealth, this one buffs up with Relentless Focus, Radiant Magelight (which, with Might of the Guild, grants Empowerment), and drinks a Weapon Power potion. This activates the 5-piece bonus of Clever Alchemist and grants Major Brutality (+20% weapon damage) and Major Savagery (+2190 critical rating). With the bow, this one’s Physical Penetration then stands at 8507 (35 CP into Piercing + sharpened bow +Minor Fracture poison proc), Weapon Damage at 4200, and Weapon Critical at 57.4%. After swapping to dual wield, Physical Penetration can jump as high as 19,409 (Spriggan’s 5-piece bonus + 35 CP into Piercing + sharpened daggers + Crusher enchantment + Major Fracture + Minor Fracture), while Weapon Damage goes up to 4588 and Weapon Critical to 66.4%.
Tactics
When all is ready, open with a ranged heavy attack and simultaneously fire Poison Injection (alternately, you can fire two Silver Shards or two Focused Aims). This is sometimes enough to bring down weak targets. If not, this one swaps to dual wield and hits Ambush, Incapacitating Strike, Surprise Attack/Light Attack weave, Killer’s Blade. It is crucial to pounce quickly, before the target recovers from the initial stun. If the target has recovered and you find yourself in a duel, hit Vigor, look for an opportunity use hit Mass Hysteria, and continue with your melee attacks. With your high critical resistance, you are strong enough to survive a short battle. If it looks like the tide has turned, however, swap back to bow, dodge roll for the Major Expedition buff, and hit Shadowy Disguise to escape.
Some people might wonder why this one does not use a two-handed weapon. Rally is nice, yes? Well, this one thinks 2-handers are for oafs, not sneaky khajiit! But also, consider that the dual wield passive Ruffian grants +15% damage against stunned or disoriented targets.
